These Saddle matrices can be used with the spring clip which makes them very useful for teeth without an adjacent tooth or distal caries on a last standing tooth.

However, we also like to use them as an alternative to a regular sectional band. Just cut off the arms and take advantage of the greater curvatures of these bands offer to restore an even wider array of teeth.

We only stock the hardened steel variety of these bands which we have found best for avoiding deformation (if you want to order a soft steel band please see our “contact us” page).

We sell both the 35 micron and 50 micron hardened steel varieties.

The 35 micron variety is thinner and requires less separation to create your ideal contact points

Dentists using Elliot Separator’s or strong ring systems may prefer the 50 micron version of the bands; trading off the increased need for separation with an even stiffer band.
