Transparent strip crowns can be adapted and used to restore cavities or build cores with composite
It is a popular technique in paediatric dentistry.
We use strips crowns primary to produce a quick matrix for provisional crowns for broken down teeth.
Simply adapt the strip crown to the broken tooth/ preparation and stabilise with wax or unset composite in the crown (tip trim the crown to size with scissors).
Then take your putty index as normal ready for a bisacryl (or acylic) provisional using a standard matrix technique.
